Accelerating the Online & Offline Job Search
Searching is the name of the game in this module. You’ll learn the art of searching like a headhunter – leaving no stone unturned in an effort to conduct the most thorough, and strategic search you’ve ever experienced! In this module you will incorporate the Strategy, Clarity, and Organization/Tracking materials from prior modules.
Since the online job search can lead to a quick drop in motivation and energy, I recommend employing a number of different job search tactics.
For the Online Job Search:
- Linkedin is GREAT for the job search and is my number one favorite tool for everything job search and career-related! You’ll want to use Linkedin in a variety of ways – career path research, identifying opportunities, identifying and engaging strategic contacts to name a few.
For the Offline Search and Uncovering the Hidden Job Market:
- One of the most important (and most effective) tools in the job search is in-person networking. Even though technology continues to evolve, there will never be a substitute for personal connections. If you employ this strategy correctly, you will really start to make some serious traction in your search results.
